Nationally acclaimed workshop, More! Rocks in Your Head!, covers a full scope of earth sciences. Comprehensive manual and materials enable full or partial incorporation into curriculum. Hands-on projects involve students. This workshop empowers educators, regardless of scientific expertise. Topics: Earth’s Structure; Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic Rocks; Soil; Caves; Erosion and Deposition; Minerals; Plate Tectonics; Land Feature Maps; Fossils and Global History; Relative and Absolute Age Dating; Mining and Reclamation; Fossil Fuels; Energy Resources; and Earth Science Careers.

Janie Schuelke brings a unique gift to the teaching world. A blend of a science background and passion mixed with enthusiastic creativity and the ability to explain complex subjects on many levels produces an atmosphere of learning enjoyed by both the science enthusiast and the science challenged. After receiving her BS in Geology from University of Houston, she worked in 3D marine seismic processing. Once she had children, she became a substitute and a G/T College for Kids instructor. Since 1998 she has been traveling the US to teach over 4000 teachers with More! Rocks in Your Head earth science workshop. As a member of AAPG, SEG, Geophysical Society of Houston, and Houston Geological Society plus being the daughter of a renowned petrophysicist and married to an applied research geophysicist, Janie keeps abreast of current ideas in the petroleum industry.
